Eh, not that great of an episode.

The running away part made its point, but the "how does it feel?" and quiet reflection parts were just kind of lame. I mean, it's nothing new, and it's nothing interesting.

A good start

I've been hearing a lot about this series, so I finally decided to check it out.

Life action movies are certainly something of a rarity on Newgrounds, but it looks as though this will be quite nice. It is set up excellently for an indie film, and I am very impressed with the compression rate.

The song seemed really out of place though...

Anyways, not too much happening in the begining, but it's done excellently enough to make me want to keep watching. Good job.

I've been watching your progression through the series and I have to say your reviews were awesome. Jesse got you at some points where you thought one thing, but another thing happend. Goes to show you that somethings aren't predictable as you'd like think.

You've really improved over your break, it's nice to see this series back and with such smooth style.

As for them being shorter, I think it's perfect. Hopefully it will mean shorter time to wait in between episodes. How quickly do you think you can make them now btw? Would once a month be possible? That would be great :)

I knew they weren't going to have ze sex. Your style is that where you just tease the audience ;) Though I know you have no qualms about showing nudity (I stumbled upon a hentai pic by you once...it was of digimon interestingly enough, I knew because it was your style and it had your site url in it :P) you don't do it in your series for some reason. It was still hilarious and I might admit quite arosing ;)

So yes, extremely happy to see such a talented artist back on Newgrounds, keep up the great work! :D

I think this would make an excellent series for you to keep up. Interesting, and rather simple. Oh yeah, and oozing with flavor ;)

I have a question though: How did you get the pencil lines to look as they do? As first I thought it was a line tool I havn't used, but I checked and that's not it. So now I'm thinking it's some sort of masking effect. In any case, it's an brilliant way to keep the mood of writing in a "die-ry".

Easy. I used the diagonal paintbrush tool, and made the fill a sort of blurred-out bitmap of real pencil, then layer masked the hell out of it.

I just don't think it's really flash. A 3.86 for a movie with NO animation whatsoever is a bit stupid I think. Highly overrated. You could have at least given us something besides words. Interesting, and a little funny, but not Flash.

You know, I really don't care about the score of this one. It's just here so that people who find it funny can enjoy it, and clearly people do enjoy it. Since you seem to care so much about the score of this little insignificant entry, blam it to your heart's content, buddy. It's not going anywhere.

Some pointers.

-Lay off the shape tweens. They aren't that great.
-This "sense" was cut do to graphic violence? "Scene" buddy. Also, that joke is overplayed and merely done because you don't have the talent to actually animate any of it. Most people will catch that.
-Newgrounds has a free preloader. Just click the link below the big submit button on the portal page for it.
-You need to compess your sounds. Learn how to do that too.

All in all, a pretty poor movie. However, you do show you have the talent to progress and make better movies. Just keep working at it. It's a fair start.

Ok your second response was a bit mean, but things have gotten better. We do plan to upload more, but when we do we want it to be something that is worth while. Also the rest do have a pre-loader and the sound is compressed.

Anyways, on to the review. So....ok. Nice mouth. I guess. The resolution was too low to really see that mouth too clearly. Whole thing was a bit low on quality really. I know it's needed, but it ruins the movie...well, not really. I can't tell what the hell is going on anyways.

But really Anti, what the hell were you trying to acomplish here?

Your problem is obvious

You didn't set the sound to stream. You should always set it to stream when you want it to be synced.

Anyways, it was a decent movie. Passable, and a little enjoyable, but not much more.
